Biologists of UzhNU continue the implementation of an ecological project in cooperation with the P.Y. Shafarik University of Kosice
Recently, another expedition took place within the framework of the project “Environment for the Future through Scientific Education”, which UzhNU is implementing in cooperation with the P.J. Šafáryk University of Kosice. This time it was about mirror studies of aquatic ecosystems in Slovakia.
A joint Ukrainian-Slovak group of expert scientists (Ya. Hasynets, M. Kryvtsova, I. Slepakova, M. Kolesarova, P. Luptachyk) studied localities and took samples at monitoring sites. The studies include a rapid assessment of water parameters using purchased portable equipment and subsequent study of samples in laboratories. The project involves not only the assessment and scientific analysis of the results, but also the integration of methods and results into the educational space for the conscious formation of an ecological worldview, exchange of experience and plans for joint research.
